
HABITS
Any habit - like smoking or overeating or nail-biting has unwanted side-effects, and this is what motivates a person to change. But these are merely symptoms. It's what causes a person to smoke or overeat or bite their nails in the first place that's the real problem.
I don't work with habits. I work with PEOPLE and how they feel inside. I help them discover what's been driving them to behave in ways they don't like.
Habits are simply learned behaviors. In most cases they are attempts to relieve stress. They work, but only for a while. So approaches that focus on modifying behavior or managing symptoms will only work temporarily, at best. It's why diets don't work.
If all you do is clip off the head of a dandelion, your problem will disappear. But only for a while. Before long it will be inviting its friends over. You need to get to the root of the problem.
That's my approach. To help people get to the root so they can release all that internal stress. So they can feel better about themselves. And when a person feels good about themselves, they tend to make healthier choices and behave in ways that are aligned with what they truly want.

A weight problem is not just about food. If that was all there was to it, your last diet would have worked and you'd be slim and trim by now.

Let's be honest. If you think you should quit smoking but you really don't want to, nothing and no one can help you. Not even hypnosis. You must be really motivated to put an end to the control smoking has had over you. If you've come to the end of your rope and can honestly say you hate your smoking habit and you want it out of your life - no matter what - hypnosis can help.
The reasons you started smoking, whether it was to be cool, fit in with your peers, or to cope with early stressors, have everything to do with why it's so hard to quit. By releasing the internal pressure, you'll free yoruself from the need for cigarettes.
Some people quit cold turkey and soon despair that they're gaining weight. That's because they haven't worked through an uncomfortable feeling like fear, anxiety, anger, frustration, or guilt. Their subconscious mind merely substitutes one habit for another to deal with the suppressed feeling.
No one is genetically programmed to smoke cigarettes; it's natural for you to enjoy clean, fresh air. Smoking is simply a program. If you're sick of the smell, the cost, the social rejection associated with smoking, you're ready to redesign your own mind and become a non-smoker.
