Simple Energy Techniques
Simple Energy Techniques (SET) is a collection of simple and user-friendly energy techniques, adapted and modified from Meridian Tapping Techniques (MTT) such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Thought Field Therapy ® (TFT), and other energy psychology approaches.
SET was developed by Steve Wells and Dr. David Lake to provide significant relief for a wide range of emotional problems, and some physical problems. Although the techniques are simple to use, the results of using them can be quite profound.

Meridian tapping techniques all share one thing in common - they utilize acupressure points in the body to help decrease or release negative emotions and emotionally-based physical issues.
Meridian tapping is based on the concepts behind acupuncture. Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years and has been accepted as a medical treatment in the western world since the 1970s. Acupuncture affects the energy that moves throughout the body along pathways called meridians.
The goal of meridian tapping is to balance the energy system. Any block will negatively affect the flow of energy in the body, much like water in a kinked garden hose. Restoring this natural flow makes energy available for healing.
The main component of SET is a simple process of focusing on an issue, emotion or physical pain while stimulating energy meridian points on the body. Typically, this involves tapping on the points, although rubbing or simply touching the points can also be used.
Energy Psychology
is the branch of energy medicine that applies an understanding of the body's energies to psychological issues.
Energy medicine recognizes energy as a vital, living, moving force that determines much about health and happiness. In energy medicine, energy is the medicine, and energy is the patient. You heal the body by activating its natural healing energies; you also heal the body by restoring energies that have become weak, disturbed, or out of balance.
Energy medicine is both a complement to other approaches to medical care and a complete system for self-care and self-help. It can address physical illness and emotional or mental disorders, and can also promote high-level wellness and peak performance.
To overcome illness and maintain vibrant health, the body needs its energies to move and have space to move - energies may become blocked due to toxins, muscular or other constriction, prolonged stress, or interference form other energies.
Flow, balance, and harmony can be non-invasively restored and maintained by tapping, massaging, pinching, twisting or connecting specific energy points on the skin; by tracing or swirling the hand over the skin along specific energy pathways; with exercises or postures designed for specific energetic effects; through focused use of the mind to move specific energies; and by surrounding an area with healing energies (one person's energies impacts another's).
